8th MARCH 2021 UPDATE
2021 Events Update
Good afternoon runners,
Following a review of the latest government guidance on the easing of Covid restrictions, we have been in dialogue with the key stakeholders of the event, Sandringham Estate and our local authority, as well as monitoring updates from England Athletics and their conversations with DCMS.
Assuming restrictions are eased in accordance with the current Government roadmap and at this stage, we currently intend to GO AHEAD with our events this year on Sunday 20th June and Sunday 26th September.
The events will be organised with COVID secure measures in place. We will be in touch with runners in due course with a code of conduct as well as the measures we plan to introduce, but these will include wave starts, distance specific timings and social distancing. Full details of this will be made available via our website, social media and email in due course.
We would like to thank our key stakeholders for their support thus far, as well as all of you, our participants, whose support throughout this difficult period has been genuinely appreciated.
We continue to monitor the guidance and should there be any change in the Government roadmap, and any impact on the event’s ability to go ahead, we will endeavour to let you all know as early as possible.
But for now, keep active, good luck with your training, and stay safe.
7th august 2020 UPDATE
Dear Runner,
Firstly, we want to wish you and your loved ones the best and we hope that you are keeping safe and well. We would also like to thank you for your kindness and continued support over the past few months.
As you know, the inaugural Run Sandringham event was rescheduled, to Saturday 7th November 2020.
At the time of the rescheduling, we had great hope that we would be able to host the event in November. We have been monitoring the situation on a daily basis and seeking guidance from the UK Government and governing bodies as to what the next steps are on being able to allow Covid secure events to take place later in 2020.
The safety of everyone attending is our absolute priority, as well as delivering the overall event experience you all registered for when it is safe to do so. Unfortunately, we are sad to confirm that we have concluded that this will not be possible for us this year due to the ongoing pandemic – and have made the difficult decision to reschedule Run Sandringham to Sunday 20th June 2021.
This decision most likely will not come as a surprise for many of you, as we are unfortunately seeing this across the industry at the moment. However the safety of everyone attending, and impact of our event on the local NHS services has to be the priority.
All entries made to Run Sandringham will be transferred to the new date in 2021 so please mark Sunday 20th June 2021 in your diary.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at the start line in 2021 – where we will delivering a bigger and better event for you. In the meantime, we wish you all the best, and thank you once again for your ongoing understanding and patience.

9TH APRIL 2020 UPDATE
Good Running Events regrettably announce the postponement of the 2020 Run Sandringham event, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday 21st June.
Organisers have announced today that the event will now take place on Saturday 7th November 2020.
Race Director, Aaron Murrell said:
“It is with extreme disappointment that we must now reschedule the inaugural Run Sandringham. Like everyone else, we were looking forward to bringing this event to the Sandringham Estate this summer, and a new major running event for the local community to enjoy.
However we are pleased that we can announce this new date for the event to take place, to allow runners some certainty and ability to plan and train for the new date this Autumn.
We had been working to proceed with the event as planned. However it has now become clear that this is unfortunately no longer an option.
We have also been working tirelessly to consult our key partners and host venue to agree a new date that works for everyone involved. We have also considered other local races and running club events, to ensure as much as possible that the new date that we chose, did not clash with any other events.
We will continue to monitor the Local Authority and Government advice, and we look forward to bringing #RunSandringham to Norfolk in the Autumn.”
Good Running Events would like to thank all event partners with whom there has been constant dialogue, and we are appreciate their continued support during these difficult times.
We would also like to send our support and appreciation to those NHS staff and key workers, who are continuing to work on the frontline to fight this pandemic. From the whole team at Good Running Events, our thoughts are you – as well as with all those affected by COVID19.
Advice
We are asking all runners to continue training in accordance with the government guidelines on daily exercise:

9TH APRIL 2020 UPDATE
The COVID19 situation has developed rapidly in last few days - and we as organisers wanted to give you an update on the inaugural Run Sandringham Event, currently scheduled for 21st June 2020.
These are unprecedented times, but at this stage we are still working for the event to take place as scheduled. However the safety of all our participants, volunteers, staff and suppliers is paramount. We are monitoring Public Health and UK Government advice daily, and will continue to monitor as the situation develops.
In the event that we have to postpone, we will automatically defer all entries over to the revised date.
Thank you for your patience, and stay safe everyone
