ENTERTAINMENT

We are excited to announce that Sons of Mark will be performing during the Run Sandringham 24 weekend.

Glen and Owen Spooner, brothers and singer songwriters based in Norwich, Norfolk. They originally started performing live in 2009 with their band, where they were the lead vocals and main writers. Following 9 years of regular gigging around Norfolk and others venues such as the O2 in Islington, they decided to move in a new direction as a duo in 2018. In January 2019 they performed officially as SonsOfMark. As a duo they have great harmonies and have been likened to the Everly Brothers for their talent, whilst also incorporating their indie background.

ONSITE YOGA

We are excited to announce that Calm by Nicole will be joining us to provide Yoga onsite during the Run Sandringham 24 weekend.

I’m so excited to be offering some yoga for runners at this year’s Sandringham 24 event.  Having run the race myself last year as part of a team I can’t wait to be back! Yoga is a fantastic complementary practice to running and can help improve performance as well as prevent injury.  It’s more than the physical postures incorporating breathwork and mental strength techniques such as the use of mantra.  Great to keep you going in a 24-hour endurance event. I will be offering a 20-minute warm-up session at 1100 before the 12 noon Saturday start.  This will help release tension in the body, get the blood flowing, focus the mind and is an excellent way to prepare the body to run.

There will also be the opportunity for a 20-minute recovery session at 0900 on Sunday to ease out those tight spots before you head home. These sessions will be suitable for complete beginners and experienced yogis alike.  If you’ve got a mat of some description (or a beach towel will do) bring that along to provide some comfort.  No need to book just turn up. For further information about me and the yoga I offer, visit my website www.calmwithnicole.com or do give me a follow on Facebook or Instagram @calmwithnicole

I look forward to meeting you!
